Welcome to Aretousa Restaurant
Our story
“Aretousa restaurant” is a family business with Cretan traditional cuisine that opened its doors in the summer of 2006. It is located in a coastal area northwest of the prefecture of Chania in a small and quiet town, “Kissamos”.
Very close to our restaurant you will find the most popular beaches of Crete, such as Falassarna, Balos and further south, Elafonisi.
We produce & create delicious values, taking advantage of the products that the nature offers us.
One of the most basic ingredients of our dishes is, if nothing else, the Cretan olive oil directly from our local olive groves. Of course, we could miss out the fresh vegetables and herbs from our garden that harmonize perfectly with each of our dishes.
Also, we couldn’t forget to mention the pure raw materials, where we refer to the Cretan dairy products of our place, the fresh meat, but also of course the fresh seafood of our bay.
Every day you will find on our menu the wide variety of our traditional dishes, slow-cooked for the best result and with a passion for the best culinary experience. Finally, with us you will find a wide variety of wines from the vineyards of Kissamos to accompany your meal.
